My name is Mendy Begun, I was born and raised in Brazil. My paternal grandfather Rabbi Hersh Leib shlit"a, a veteran Mohel with over 6 decades of experience performing thousands of Bris Milah's across the globe with great care and warmth, has inspired and guided me into becoming a Mohel, not only teaching his great expertise but mainly instilling in me a deep appreciation for this holy Mitzvah, and having the merit to bring Jewish children into the Covenant.

 

I studied in Yeshiva in Brazil, France, Argentina, Russia, and the United States, receiving my rabbinical ordination from the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ.

 

I then studied and trained under one of the most experienced Mohels in Israel, who is certified as an expert by the Ministry of Health and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, thus gaining both practical skill in the newest methods and techniques as well as a vast knowledge on the laws, traditions and medical aspects, ensuring every Bris is done at the highest standards medically and halachically.​​​​​
